Facility Maintenance Technician

TA Operating LLC, DBA TravelCenters of America, Petro Stopping, headquartered in Westlake, OH, is a leading travel plaza operator in 43 states including Canada, operating under the TA & Petro Stopping Centers. With 270 full service Travel Center locations off interstates.  TA & Petro offer customers diesel/gas fueling services, 500 restaurants, a variety of fast food concepts to choose from & a 24-hour retail travel store and diesel truck repair at various location

The qualified individual will be responsible for the following issues:


  • Electrical (resetting of breakers, replace fuses, check outlets, light bulbs etc.)
  • Plumbing (replace old piping, fix leaks, install toilets, repair faucets and drains, etc.)
  • General grounds maintenance
  • BASIC HVAC (filter replacement, clean condenser coils with/without chemicals).
  • Light carpentry
  • Painting of small wall space when needed
  • Light Porter duties. Mopping, cleaning of restrooms


***Computer Literate a MUST

TA/Petro is a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation, The Maintenance Technician will work Typically a Monday -- Friday schedule. However, must be flexible and be available on call as needed.

Job Requirements


Facility Maintenance Technician

    • 5 Years Experience.
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Valid Drivers License.
    • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Frequently, bend, stoop and reach to move items at various heights (i.e., floor level, shoulder level or using a ladder).
    • Stand/walk for shifts up to 8 hours (breaks are given during the shift
    • Operate a computer efficiently
    • Have basic hand tools
    • Background check
    • Drug test.
