Job Brief

The Truck Service Commercial Marketing Associate is responsible for writing and developing effective marketing communications in a wide variety of print and digital formats to reinforce TA’s leadership in the commercial truck maintenance, repair, and tire industry.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Writing, editing and updating content for but not limited to web, blogs, social media, emails, landing pages, articles, presentations, webinars, brochures, flyers and advertisements for B2B and B2C markets.
  • Collaborate with industry resources and internal stakeholders to guide, coordinate and execute strategic marketing messages to capture target audiences’ interest and influence action.
  • Keep pace with copy, social media and industry trends to strengthen our print and electronic brand positioning including optimized web content.
  • Manage and help to create marketing content to socialize and use for social media purposes (e.g. videos, blog posts, industry posts, competitor posts and customers).
  • Collaborate with Commercial Marketing Manager(s) to develop social and digital marketing strategy including content and optimization.
  • Coordinate with various teams and departments to ensure activities are aligned to help to support truck stop business initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze and provide recommendations on improving customer engagement.
  • Organize and maintain an editorial, advertising, trade show and events calendar.
  • Create content templates and manage digital assets for B2B and B2C segments.
  • Manage and load graphics and content for digital menu boards, kiosks, apps and newsletters.
  • Assist with copy, messaging and positioning statements for conferences and tradeshows materials.
  • Prepare communication material for internal and external presentations on products and services.
  • Brand ambassador monitoring logos, content tone, messaging methods and segment relevancy.
  • Support advertising, collateral production, direct and digital mailings.
  • Measure effectiveness and quality of marketing content and adjust as needed to meet company objectives.
  • Manage multiple copy writing projects from concept to completion against aggressive deadlines.
  • Assist with creative design, material production and internal and external communication as needed.
  • Attend trade shows and industry-related events as a representative of the company as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or Communications preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Versed in social media for B2C and B2B marketing efforts.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign). 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Adwords, display network tools and website content management systems.
  • Results-oriented with a high attention to detail, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
