Job Description

The Senior Pricebook Associate is responsible for working with the Pricebook Manager on setting, communicating, and executing strategic direction within pricebook for all categories. Supports the merchandising department in coordinating the information flow to the Pricebook Coordinators to maintain category strategies. Assists the Pricebook Manager with the day-to-day pricebook margin capture, maintenance and exception management. Manages the coordination and communication of pricing related activity ensuring pricebook database integrity. Plays a pivotal role in process improvement and leverages technology to automate key workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pricebook Manager in the day-to-day management to ensure timely and accurate maintenance and data integrity of the company’s pricebook database.
  • Accountable for pricebook analysis across all retail categories, including monitoring and analyzing sub-categories and vendors for profitability.
  • Seek ways to optimize and streamline workflows, leveraging technology to simplify and automate key processes.
  • Play a pivotal role in the optimization of pricing to improve margins and deliver value to our guests against the competitive landscape.
  • Develop and recommend the correct replenishment parameters for articles.
  • Manage daily workflow of the pricebook team.
  • Manage daily pricebook exceptions and resolution with vendors and accounting.
  • Manage projects, communication and updates within the pricebook system.
  • Provide support to Category Managers and Field Operations by:
  • Keeping pricebook management informed of progress and problems, and recommend changes to processes to streamline, simplify and automate where possible,
  • Monitoring discrepancies, unauthorized items/suppliers, scanning issues and other pricebook related issues to ensure the necessary corrective actions and preventive measures, and
  • Communicating with pricebook team to ensure all identified pricebook related issues reported at store level have been resolved.
  • SAP/BW/CARHANA/JDA Training expert for Retail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Marketing preferred
  • Minimum of three years work experience in retail, business process, accounting or related fields
  • Knowledge of retail operations and convenience store merchandising
  • Strong leadership skills
  • SAP Retail Experience is required
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, SAP replenishment systems, SAP planning systems, BW reporting databases)
  • Excellent Training Skills
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Physical Requirements – Position requires extensive viewing and utilization of computer equipment and use of telephones.  There is no exposure to adverse working conditions.
  • Some Travel required
